How This Website Was Tested
Accessibility of CVCompose was assessed through a combination of automated testing tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation testing and screen reader testing (VoiceOver and NVDA).
Date of last accessibility assessment: July 2026.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some parts of CVCompose are not yet fully accessible. Below is a list of known issues and the alternatives available while we work on fixes.
- Drag-and-drop CV sections. The CV builder allows reordering sections by dragging them with a mouse. This feature may be difficult to use with a screen reader.
Workaround:All sections can also be reordered using keyboard navigation — tab to a section, then use the "Move up" / "Move down" buttons that appear on focus. - Template preview images. Some older CV template preview thumbnails may not have sufficiently descriptive alternative text.
Status: We are adding proper alt text to all preview images. Expected completion: end of 2026. - Contact form honeypot field. Our contact form includes a hidden spam-prevention field ("honeypot") that is invisible to sighted users but may still be detectable by screen readers.
Status: We are reviewing the implementation to ensure it is properly hidden from assistive technologies usingaria-hiddenand correct tabindex handling.
